Stage Coach receives grant from foundation

Stage Coach Players received a $7,000 grant from the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The grant will be used to further enhance the renovations being made to the group’s building at 126 S. Fifth St., that was built in 1951.

“As those who have renovated property would know, there are always surprises in any project,” Greg Anderson, chairman of the fundraising committee, said in a news release. “Consequently, the list of unexpected expenses continues to add to the total cost of the project.”

Stage Coach Players is a local community theater group that will be celebrating its 70th season next year. Its primary mission is to bring high quality, live stage productions to the area and to provide education to all ages about theater-craft and the importance of theater to a thriving community.
