PRINCETON — Clifford R. Kuepker, 90, of Sun Prairie, Wis., formerly of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at Columbus Health and Rehab in Columbus, Wis.
He was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Yorktown to Henry and Mary (Peters) Kuepker. He married Ella Mae Ridge on Aug. 19, 1972.
Clifford served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was a foreman of the bridge gang for CB&Q Railroad, as well as a carpenter in the Princeton area. He later located in Tomahawk, Wis., and continued to do carpentry work. During his retired years, he enjoyed building doll houses and making furniture to go in them.
He was also a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie, Wis.
Clifford is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ella Mae; four children, Deborah (William) Stier of Sheffield, Eugene (Dawn) Ridge of Westmont, Diane (Todd) Jones of Deforest, Wis., and Cynthia Ridge of Rhinelander, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Ann) Kuepker of Rhode Island; and one sister, Doris Williamson of Sterling.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Dean) Kuepker; three brothers; one son Larry Kuepker; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton with Chaplin Justin York and Clifford's son, Gene Ridge, officiating. Burial will follow in the Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at the funeral home.
