Woodstock co-op (Woodstock), jr.
Tuesday's Boylan Bash wasn't Wolf's best meet, according to his coach, but the junior team captain still finished in the top 11 in all four races he swam. Wolf's best finish was tied for eighth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.03 seconds, even though his seeding time was 24.78. He finished 10th in the 100 butterfly (1:06.67 in finals), 10th in the 100 freestyle (55.63 finals, 54.09 in seeding) and 11th in the 100 backstroke (1:07.01 in the finals, 1:04.67 in seeding).
Northwest Herald Power Rankings
1. McHenry: The Warriors didn't have any events the past week. Their next competitive action comes Saturday when they are scheduled to swim in the Vernon Hills Invitational.
2. Cary-Grove co-op: The Trojans didn't compete the past week. They return to action in the new year, traveling to Waubonsie Valley for a dual meet Saturday.
3. Jacobs co-op: The Golden Eagles didn't have any events the past week. They're back in competition Jan. 9 at Maine South's Hawk Relays.
4. Huntley: The Red Raiders were one of two local teams to compete at the Boylan Bash Invitational on Tuesday. The races were broken down by grade level, and the Red Raiders produced 15 top-10 swims, placing as high as sixth. Coming in with three top-10 finishes each were freshman Tyler Kalscheur (6th in 100 freestyle, 8th in 100 butterfly, 9th in 100 breaststroke), sophomore Alex Haiges (6th in 100 breaststroke, 8th in 100 butterfly and 50 freestyle) and Zachary Michael (8th in 100 backstroke, 9th in 100 freestyle and 10th in 100 butterfly). Also finishing in the top 10 of their races were sophomore Marco Lopiccolo (7th in the 100 butterfly and 9th in the 100 backstroke), sophomore Jacob Barker (10th in 100 breaststroke), seniors Aaron Vandy (10th in the 100 butterfly), Dillon Gaynor (7th in 100 backstroke) and Quinn Landoch (10th in 100 breaststroke). The Red Raiders are off until Jan. 9 when they swim in the Rockford Auburn Invitational.
5. Woodstock co-op: The Woodstock co-op team raced at the Boylan Bash, with Thunder swimmers turning in eight top-10 swims. Freshman Ben Thuma was impressive in the freshman races, finishing third in the 100 backstroke, fifth in the 100 freestyle and butterfly, and ninth in the 50 freestyle. Also racing to multiple top-10s was junior Jeremy Wolf, who finished eight in the 50 freestyle and 10th in the 100 freestyle and butterfly. Junior Danny Blalack finished 10th in the 100 breaststroke.

McHenry hosts the Barbs, who finished seventh at state last season.
