Letter: Body cameras for police and politicians

To the Editor:

Policemen may soon be wearing body-cams. It appears useful to both the police and citizens alike. I think most policemen are professional and do good work but as it is in all professions, there are those who don’t belong. Those should be removed and legal action taken against them if called for. The justice department would be in a better position to make the proper decision after viewing the footage of the event.

Equally important, I think all politicians should wear these. I wonder how much money would be saved by the transparency of the actions between politicians and the people they come in contact with. I’m sure we would have much better representation and by their actions we would be able to select those people that would have our interest not theirs. Illinois could once again become a leader in our country. Unfortunately we know who would enact these rules. What’s the possibility?
