To the Editor:
With all this pre-election mania in the air, I have a question. Maybe someone out there can provide the answer.
Why aren’t ballots printed in duplicate so everyone casting votes can have a copy of their own to keep instead of just being issued a stub for showing up?
If the reason(s) should be obvious without explanation, why that isn’t standard policy, it went right over my dense head, so please help me out. Perhaps too costly is my only guess.
Because doing the exact opposite makes more sense to me. Something that seems so elementary, it should be an automatic practice.
I’d love having records of some of my past choices, to reflect on the wisdom, or lack of it, that I displayed back in the day.
