Lisbeth A. Blackburn

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lisbeth Ann Blackburn, 82, of Jacksonville, formerly of Dixon, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, after a brief illness.

She was born Aug. 19, 1933, in Springfield, to her adoptive parents, Louis B. and Olive R. Jones of Polo. She married David O. Blackburn on June 9, 1951, at St. Mary Church in Polo, He preceded her in death July 14, 1974. Lisbeth was a member of Mandarin St. John Elks Lodge 2866 as an esteemed loyal knight. She enjoyed traveling and music.

Survivors include her 10 children, Sue (Steve) Kelly, Becky (Dan) Duffy, Phyllis (Dan) Willard, Terry (Rick) Jordan, and Patti (Tom) McBride, all of Dixon, Roberta “Bobbie” (Greg) Davis of Mount Morris, Debbie (Jim) Coultrip and David Blackburn, both of Jacksonville, Peggy (Mark) Herman of Boise, Idaho, and Mike (Kim Hopper) Blackburn of Belton, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two grandsons.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Antoni Kretowicz, pastor, officiating. Private burial of cremains will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo. Jones Funeral Home in Dixon is handling local arrangements.

A memorial has been established.
