Robotics showcase features dog-bots in Antioch

ANTIOCH – The third annual 4-H Robotics Showcase was held Saturday at Antioch Upper Grade School.

The family-friendly event was free and open to the public. The theme for this year's challenge was Dog Agility. Teams of middle school youth programmed dog-bots to autonomously complete tasks.

The showcase is the culminating event for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Extension's growing 4-H Science robotics clubs. The event gives youth the opportunity to show off what they've learned in their robotics clubs throughout the year.

Outstanding teams received trophies for robot design, teamwork and creativity.
