ROCKFORD – Gonzalo Trevino, 54, of Dixon, died Friday, April 28, 2016, following an accident at the Winnebago County Landfill in Rockford.
He was born Jan. 10, 1962, in Brownsville, Texas, the son of Rigo and Anna (Torres) Trevino.
He had worked for the Marengo Disposal Co. for more than 15 years.
He married Janet Walsh, who preceded him in death in 2000.
He then married Tina Loszach in Dixon on Oct. 14, 2005.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Aguilar.
Survivors include his wife of Dixon; children, Jessica (Juve) Mojica, of Carpentersville, Gonzalo Trevino Jr., of Sterling, Alberto (Kaila) Trevino of Dixon, Katherine (Tim) Hagenbuch, of Normal, Andrew Trevino of Colorado, and Austin Trevino of Dixon; eight grandchildren; his mother, Anna Trevino of Dixon; his father Rigo Trevino of Chicago; two brothers, Rafeal (Connie) Trevino,of Chicago, and Daniel (Laura) Trevino of Romeoville; three sisters, Maria Trevino of Cicero, Patricia (Leo) Torres of Chicago, and Irma (Robert) Delashmidt of Dixon.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m Monday at Jones Funeral Home, Dixon, with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Antoni Kretowicz officiating. Burial will follow in Emmert Cemetery.
