BERWYN – The Berwyn sky will again light up with fireworks to celebrate Independence Day, thanks to the World's Largest Laundromat.
As a gift to the city in honor of the 10th anniversary of the business's reopening after being leveled by a fire, the Berwyn laundromat will sponsor the fireworks.
The celebration will begin at about 8:30 p.m. July 3 at Morton West High School in Berwyn.
"An event like this is just such a great thing for residents," store manager Mark Benson said in a news release. "You bring the kids, and it starts to get dark, and the anticipation and the music build and then the sky just lights up. Independence Day fireworks are the centerpiece of summer, and we're just so proud to bring them back."
