STERLING – Larry R. Bowlin, 57, of Sterling, formerly of Polo, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, with family by his side.
Larry was born May 17, 1959, in Sterling, the son of Reece and Betty (Short) Bowlin. He worked many years for Sauk Valley Media as a press foreman. Larry was a very loving father and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, his dog, Buster, and watching the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears play on TV.
Survivors include his daughters, Meghan Bowlin of Sterling and Haleigh Bowlin of Kansas City, Missouri; and brother, Mike Bowlin, nieces, Angie and Kayla Bowlin, and sister-in-law, Christy Bowlin, all of Polo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Jeff’s Refs, 113 W. Mason St., Polo.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
