Dixon workers recognized

MINNEAPOLIS –Donaldson Co., a worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, recently presented the Donaldson Production Systems Award to staff at its Dixon Plant.

Every quarter, the company reviews the 20 manufacturing plants and distribution centers for its operations in the Americas.

Performance is measured in six key areas: budget management, customer delivery, customer quality, employee safety, inventory management, and productivity.

Based on these metrics, a single operation is presented with the award to recognize the best performance.

Scott Jackson, Dixon plant manager, and his team won the Cup in the third quarter, February-April of fiscal year 2016.

The 168,000-square-foot Dixon facility manufactures off-road industrial and aerospace filter products.

Donaldson’s Dixon operation started in 1974 and employs 261 people.

Employees celebrated the achievement July 5-6.

“Dixon was the first Donaldson plant to win the Chairman’s Cup when we first began recognizing the achievement back in 2006, and this is the fourth time that they have received the award,” Rich Lewis, vice president of global operations, said.

“This team’s strong focus on customers, quality, and safety impacts our entire company, contributing to our success in the filtration industry.

“I thank and congratulate the entire Dixon team on their outstanding effort and achievement,” he said.
