Kathleen T. Stitzel

DIXON – Kathleen T. Stitzel of Dixon died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, in Windermere, Florida.

She was born Jan. 20, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Jack and Esther (Barrett) Hogan of Marengo, Iowa.

Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family. She was a resident of Dixon since 1961. Kathleen was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church of Dixon.

She is survived by her children, Wilbur “Chip” (Stephanie) Stitzel of Dixon, Beth Stitzel of Nashville, Tennessee, Bart (Tricia) Stitzel of Windermere; and grandchildren, Jacob Stitzel, Molly Stitzel, and Samantha Miller. She also is survived by her siblings, Patricia (Dennis) Long and Michael (Betty) Hogan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wilbur “Bill” Stitzel.

Visitation will be from 9:45 to
11 a.m. Tuesday, and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Antoni Kretowicz officiating. Burial will be at
10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery in Marengo, Iowa. Jones Funeral Home in Dixon is handling local arrangements.

A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Rock River Valley, 2600 N. Locust St., Suite B, Sterling, IL 6108.
