Lauritzens celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lauritzen

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lauritzen of rural Ohio, Ill., celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on Oct. 1.

Larry Lauritzen and the former Karen Van Deusen were united in marriage on Oct. 2, 1966, at the New Bedford Christian Church, officiated by the late Rev. Mason Hopkins.

Larry is a retired manager of Kory Farm Equipment and Karen is a homemaker.

The couple have three children, Debra (Darrell) Dahl of Walnut, Deena (Chad) Brants of Neponset and Diana (Matthew) Cox of Davenport, Iowa. They also have four grandchildren, Madalyn and Benjamin Dahl, Emma Brants and Kacie Cox.
