Oswego Bears place two teams at Cheer Conference

The Oswego Bears Jr PeeWee Squad took first place at the Chicagoland Pop Warner Cheer Conference on Oct. 16. Members of the squad are Hannah Adams, Alaina Bisgrove, Camryn Fox, Brielle Goehring, Jordan Heffernan, Sydney Rodts and Carson Smith. They are coached by Vicki Fox, Hannah and Michelle Callaway, along with junior coaches Cailee Zukauskas and Lily Hallam.

The Oswego Bears PeeWee squad took second place at the Chicagoland Pop Warner Cheer Conference. Squad members include Janiya Chatman, Riley Cherniwchan, Tayleigh Christensen, Hannah DeSpain, Ashley Duddleston, Jaylean Galvez, Ariana Gonzales, Monet Heiden, Haidyn Kapusinski, Patricia Lemezis, Faith Matyszka, Olivia Muir, Laila Pugh, Mallory Schulz, Taylor Scott, and Mariah Stuckey. They are coached by Brandi Kapusinski and Arnetta Henry.

Both squads will compete at the Midwest Regional Pop Warner Competition at Northern Illinois University on Nov. 6.

The Oswego Bears Tiny Mites also performed at the Chicagoland Cheer Conference meet Sunday as an exhibition squad, including Arianna Bacon, Ivy Behrens, Jenna Blaskey, Sienna Crissey, Isabella Fletcher, Jeleyah Galvez, Gabriella Kniffin, Avery Nickl, Johanna Robertson, Leylah Rodriguez, Lia Salcedo, Ava Valle, and Carly Vieira along with coaches Jen Fletcher and Veronika Hernandez. The TIny Mite girls also competed at the Princess Gala on Oct. 9 in Portage, Ind.

The Oswego Bears will enter the football playoffs this week.
