POLO – Betty A. Donaldson, 66, of Polo, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Betty was born June 18, 1950, in Morrison, the daughter of Henry and O’Delia (Brinkman) Johnson. On May 9, 1970, in Lena, she was united in marriage to Deryl Donaldson. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1997. Betty attended Elkhorn United Methodist Church in Polo. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, games on the computer, and watching the Green Bay Packers, and the Cubs win the World Series. Given all Betty had been through, she always had a positive attitude.
Survivors include sons, Jeffrey (Ana) Donaldson Sr. and Patrick (Kathleen) Donaldson, both of Polo; sisters, Karen Rogahn of Monroe, Wisconsin, and Ruby (Dennis) Shultz of Lena; brother, Mark Johnson of Rockford; grandchildren, Justina Donaldson of Polo, Natalie Jensen of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Deryl L., Faith, and Emilee Donaldson, Karen Cazango, and Jeffrey Jr. and Henry Donaldson of Polo.
She was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Tom Rogahn.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established Village of Progress in Oregon.
