PRINCETON — David Wayne Fandel, 82, of Princeton died at 5:23 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Colonial HealthCare and Rehabilitation Centre in Princeton.
Born March 23, 1934, in Lacon to George R. and Florence Edith (Mason) Fandel, he married Nancy Ann Wright Dec. 31, 1954, in Princeton. She died Aug. 19, 2011.
He graduated from Tiskilwa High School in 1952. He was the owner and operator of David Fandel & Son Construction in Princeton.
Surviving are one son, Rick (Susan) Fandel of Princeton; two daughters, Amy (Keith) Johnson of Princeton and Stacy (Randy Hanson) Fandel of Princeton; six grandchildren, Kimberly (David) Morse of Malden, Whitney Fandel of Park Ridge, Nicholas Johnson of Princeton, Lauren Johnson of Princeton, Andrew Johnson of Princeton and Julia Johnson of Princeton; three great-grandchildren, Jameson, Maxim and Theo Morse of Malden; and two sisters, Helen (Richard) Brokaw of Walnut and Rachel Jesse of California.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and three infant daughters, Julie, Patricia and Theresa.
Private graveside services will be held with the Rev. Derek Boggs officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Homes, Inc. Crematory in Princeton. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton.
Memorials may be directed to the Princeton Food Pantry or the Salvation Army.
