Judith Willis

STERLING – Judith Willis, 78, of Sterling, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Regency Care of Sterling. She was a teacher Sterling Schools as a teacher at Franklin School until her retirement.

Judith was born June 19, 1938, in Sterling, the daughter of Peter and Edna (Wilkins) Hoogeveen. She married Bill Willis on Feb. 3, 1968, in Sterling.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Pete Willis of Sterling; two sisters, Joan Gregg of St. Charles and Kay Califf of Carthage; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sterling American Legion Post 296, 601 First Avenue. Cremation rites have been accorded.
