Freda E. DuBois

BETTENDORF, Iowa – Freda E. DuBois, 92, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Freda was born April 8, 1924, in Ewing, the daughter of William Jacob and Cora Opal (Boyer) Sink. She married George Thomas DuBois on Oct. 11, 1946, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2000.

She is survived by her son, Steven (Beth) DuBois of Eldridge, Iowa; one stepson, John (Janice) DuBois of Hazel Green, Alabama; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Diane; two brothers, James Sink and Lucian B. Sink; two sisters, Maxine Bain and Phyllis Caton; and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, and the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with Pastor Jack Briggs of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Lee Center, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
