WASCO – The McDonald's on Route 64 in Wasco hosted customers who came in to have "Coffee with the Cops" on Dec. 7.
Many people from the community came to meet the Campton Hills police officers, stated a release.
"Many came just to tell them how they appreciate all they do to keep the village safe," stated the release. "Norm Turner and Shannan Harley and many other community members learned about the second annual Citizen's Police Academy that will be taking place on Jan. 9 at the Fox Mill Homeowners Association Clubhouse. At the event the officers served coffee and talked with the community and answered many questions."
Coffee with the Cops was part of a special event between the Wasco McDonald's and Campton Hills police.
"Special thank you goes to Chief Dan Hoffman, who coordinated the Coffee with [the Cops] event," stated the release. "Thank you also to Officer Steve Millar and Sgt. Bob Reichardt that came and served coffee and mingled with the community."
The event was courtesy of the Wasco McDonald's owner/operators, Yanni Management.
