Casey J. McCormick

AMBOY – Casey J. McCormick, 54, of Amboy, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Aperion Care in Amboy.

He was born Jan. 24, 1962, in Dixon, the son of Thomas and Sue Ann (Blake) McCormick. He had worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Franklin Grove and Amboy nursing homes and also had worked at Dean Foods in Dixon. Casey enjoyed bingo, trivia and karaoke.

He is survived by one sister, Corinne (Steve) Powers of Dixon; brothers Thomas Shawn (Gayla) McCormick of Rock Falls and Kelly McCormick of Marengo; eight nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Timothy Draper officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy.

A memorial has been established.
