Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. opening at Gurnee Mills

Gelato Mio and Burger King also to open in 2017

Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. will open its doors to the public at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Gurnee Mills, according to a news release. Floor & Decor opened at Gurnee Mills earlier in January, and Gelato Mio and Burger King also will open in the Dine-O-Rama Food Court in 2017.

“This year is off to a busy start and we are thrilled to add Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. to our dining offerings at Gurnee Mills,” Elizabeth Striegel, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Gurnee Mills, said in a news release. “Our shoppers don’t only come to Gurnee Mills to shop the retail stores, but also to enjoy the variety of dining and entertainment options we have to offer and Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. is a wonderful new addition.”

Located by Entrance A, between Sears Grand and Marcus Cinemas, Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. will offer shoppers and local families Italian classics, entrees and Chicago favorites. Outdoor seating will be available for the warmer spring and summer months, and group tables also will be available.

“We are excited to bring a traditional Italian-style pizza parlor with a Chicago-style vibe to Gurnee and also help give back to the local community,” Nicole Khayat, President of Khayat Enterprises, said in the news release.

Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. will donate one dollar from every Blue Devil Brownie Sundae to Warren Township High School in Gurnee. Also, 100 percent of the proceeds from the Casamigos Tequila sales will be donated to Not On Our Watch, an international relief and humanitarian aid organization.

Gurnee Mills’ original food court, Dine-O-Rama, remains open while construction is underway on two of its newest additions, Gelato Mio and Burger King. The Dine-O-Rama Food Court is one of two new locations for Burger King, which is also opening in the center’s Dining Pavilion.
