JOLIET – Each year during Catholic Schools Week, the junior high students at the Cathedral of St. Raymond compete in an annual spelling bee.

First round spelling bees are held in their classrooms with a written exam. Spelling finalists are the top four spellers in sixth, seventh and eighth grade. The finalists compete in the Cathedral of St. Raymond School Spelling Bee.

Congratulations to the finalists: Sixth graders Carter Holbrook, Marley Hennessy, Regan Hattemar, and Samantha Sargent; seventh graders Charlie O’Neil, Amber Singh, Alessandro Cabrera, and Erik Troha; eighth graders Jack Hungate, Shannon Bedore, Katie Munson, and Hannah Policandriotes.

Congratulations to our Spelling Bee Champion Carter Holbrook. Carter will represent the Cathedral of St. Raymond School at the Will County Regional Spelling Bee on March 7.
