Gavin Sutton
Richmond-Burton, sr.
Sutton won his first state championship this past weekend, taking the Class 2A 145-pound title with a 7-3 decision over previously undefeated Mikie Hartnett of Morton. Sutton had placed third in 2014, and lost in the finals last year, finishing runner-up. He finished the season with a 43-3 record after winning his four state tournament matches by technical fall, two major decisions and a decision in the final. He will wrestle at Division I North Dakota State University.
