DOWNERS GROVE – Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital will be opening up a brand new tower featuring spacious, private rooms to improve the comfort of patients and their families March 1, according to a news release from the hospital.
The new West Tower is a 110,000 square-foot addition consisting of 96 private patient rooms at nearly double size of the hospital's traditional rooms.
“We take great pride in the level of care that we provide our patients," Dave Fox, president of Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, said in the release. "The new West Tower was designed to meet the needs of our clinicians, patients and family members. State-of- the-art technology will improve patient safety and make patient care more efficient for our physicians and nurses."
Each room comes with smart room technology, with in-room monitors and access to electronic health records in real-time as well as pull-out couches for sleeper sofas for those staying with their loved ones.
