Colleen A. Oester

AMBOY – Colleen A. Oester, 65, of Amboy, died Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.

She was born July 23, 1951, in Amboy, the daughter of Francis and JoAnne (Haley) Finn. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Walton. Colleen married James A. Oester on Sept. 11, 1971, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walton. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2011.

Survivors include her son, Brian Oester of Ohio; her daughter, Stephanie (Jim) McLaughlin of Amboy; four grandchildren, Mitchell and Madelyn McLaughlin and Sophia and Jack Oester; two brothers, Dennis Finn of Dixon and Doug (Andrea) Finn of Springfield; and one sister, Barbara Finn of Freeport.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Graveside service will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy.

A memorial has been established.
