ELMHURST – A body found April 21 in the Elmhurst quarry has been identified as a man reported missing April 14, according to a news release from the DuPage County Coroner's office.
Justin Antony, 24, of Elmhurst was reported missing after failing to attend a church service April 14 in Bellwood. He was last heard from at about 8:33 p.m. He was identified as "missing endangered" because he was epileptic and did not have his medicine.
Elmhurst police officers and fire personnel searching the west side of the quarry at West Avenue and First Street for Antony discovered the body of a man in his early 20s on the bottom of the quarry at 12:40 p.m. April 21, according to an Elmhurst Police Department news release.
The coroner's office positively identified the body as Antony on April 23 using dental records, the coroner's release stated.
The cause and manner of death are pending toxicology and autopsy results, according to the release.
