Cass Street bridge to close for work starting Monday

JOLIET – The Illinois Department of Transportation will be completing repair work on the Cass Street bridge over the Des Plaines River beginning Monday, according to a news release from the city of Joliet.

The road will be closed to all traffic and a detour route will be posted. Drivers are advised to use caution and seek alternate routes when traveling in the area. Work is expected to be completed by May 22.
