Joan M. Field

DIXON – Joan M Field, 68, of Dixon and Coolidge, Arizona, died Sunday, May 28, 2017, at her home in Dixon.

She was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Dixon, the daughter of Robert and Lorraine (Cochran) Heckman. She most recently worked as a registered nurse at Arizona State Hospital in Phoenix. She married Ellis Allen Field Jr. on April 6, 1985, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2011.

She is survived by three children, Lori Donaldson of Dixon, Jamee (Dr. Jack Sherman) Vesga of Brooklyn, New York, Thomas (Delilah) Bufford of Coolidge; her mother of Dixon; three sisters, Caroline (Michael Siegrist) Heckman of St. Louis and Vicki (Jerry Brechon) Brantner and Barbara Kessel, both of Dixon; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Brandy Field; a stepson, Ellis Allen Field III; and a brother, Roger Cochran.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today, and the funeral at 2 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Dixon.

A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association.
