Register for the new Kaneland School District 302 school year

MAPLE PARK – The Kaneland School District 302 school year begins on Aug. 23 with a full-day of classes, according to a news release.

Bus service and hot lunch will be provided the first day of school at the middle and high school.

All Kaneland School District 302 elementary schools start at 8:50 a.m. Do not bring children to the school before 8:40 a.m. Elementary students are dismissed by 3:30 p.m. Parents should call their respective school to verify dismissal times, according to the release.

Morning kindergarten classes will be from 8:50 to 11:30 a.m. Afternoon kindergarten classes will be from 12:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The extended day kindergarten program has the same start and end time as the elementary schools, the release stated.

Parents that have not registered their children for kindergarten – children must be five years old on or before Sept. 1 to attend – must call the appropriate school office as soon as possible to register for the upcoming school year. Please contact John Stewart Elementary School at 630-365-8170; John Shields Elementary School at 630-466-8500; Blackberry Creek Elementary School at 630-365-1122; and McDole Elementary School at 630-897-1961. A mail-in registration was conducted in April and May, according to a release.

Students new to Harter Middle School or Kaneland High School are requested to register before Aug. 23. Registration packets for new students are available online. Fee statements will be sent by mail.

Students will be able to access schedules through TylkerSISk12 by Aug. 15. Family logins will be active Aug. 15. Please contact the school if login information is misplaced.

To register for Harter Middle School, call the office at 630-466-8400, ext. 77102. Physical Education and clothes may be purchased the first week of school during physical education or lunch, according to the release.

To register for Kaneland High School, contact the Students Services Center at 630-365-5100, ext. 71210 to arrange an appointment. High school students will receive schedules online and fee statements by mail. Physical education clothes and locks will be available to purchase in the high school’s Athletic Office during the first week of school, the release stated.

Harter Middle School will start at 7:25 a.m. and let out at 2:40 p.m.

Kaneland High School will start at 7:36 a.m. and let out at 2:50 p.m.
