George Estrada

STERLING – George Estrada, 63, of Sterling, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at his home. He was employed at Rayovac in Dixon.

George was born Nov. 22, 1953, in Sterling, the son of Jose Luz and Rose (Gonzalez) Estrada.

Survivors include six sisters, Angela Torres and Grace Hernandez, both of San Antonio, and Barbara Steltzer, Rachel Espinoza, Lupe (Steve) Harms, and Mary Estrada, all of Sterling; four brothers, Phillip (Wanda) Estrada of Bronson, Missouri, Alex (Lori) Estrada of Pontiac, Peter (Selma) Estrada of Sterling, and Nicho LoBato of Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico; a special nephew, Chavo Estrada; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Baltazer Torres.

The memorial service will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling.

A memorial has been established.
