The 4-H Pink Ladies team competes Thursday in the scoop shovel race during the Ag Olympics at the Lee County 4-H Fair and Junior Show. The annual fair is back this weekend, through Sunday, at the fairgrounds at 1196 Franklin Grove Road in Amboy. Events include the carnival, tractor and truck pulls, a rodeo, daily judging and livestock shows, free kids activities, bingo, a magic show, corn boil, corn-husking contest and big wheel races. There will be daily ticket and wristband specials for the carnival. New this year: Fast Action Motorsports remote control car racing for all ages, and shows by Starlight Dance Studio and Legacy Martial Arts. The fair opens at noon daily.
