HarmonEssence, a woman's four-part harmony a cappella chorus in DeKalb, is now under the direction of Jeff Lathom (pictured at left). He is from Des Plaines and has a background in music education. HarmonEssence meets from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Community of Christ Church, 1200 S. Malta Road in DeKalb. The chorus will have open rehearsals in August and September.
