Lemont to induct three new members into Hall of Fame

Lemont High School will induct three new members into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Sept. 17, including 1994 graduate Tammy (Jordan) Richter, 2007 graduate Dave Molk and 2008 graduate Graham Pocic.

Richter, a four-time state bowling qualifier, placed fifth in the state in 1994, sixth in 1992 and 13th in 1991. Richter won the 1994 Illinois Coca-Cola Youth Championship. She earned gold medals in the singles, mixed foursome and team events for Team USA at the 1997 Tournament of Americas and bowled for two seasons at Nebraska Richter has bowled four 300 games in her career and has posted a high series of 806 Richter was also a member of Lemont’s state-qualifying poms team in 1992.

Molk was a three-year starters on the offensive line for Lemont's football team from 2004-2006, helping lead the program to three playoff appearances and the school's first quarterfinal appearance in 2005. All-State in 2006, Molk played in the 2007 East-West All-American Game. He was a four-year starter at center for the University of Michigan and in 2011 won the Rimington Trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s top center.

The two-time All-Big Ten honoree became Lemont’s first-ever NFL Draft selection when he was taken by the San Diego Chargers in the seventh round in 2012.

Pocic, also a three-time starter on the offensive line for the football team, led Lemont to three playoff appearances. Pocic, All-State as a senior, led Lemont to a Class 6A runner-up finish in 2007.

Pocic, a four-year letterman at Illinois, was a two-time All-Big Ten honorable mention selection. In 2012 Pocic was named to the watch lists for the Outland Trophy and Rimington Trophy. Signed as a free agent by the Houston Texans in 2012, Pocic was also a member of the St. Louis Rams, Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The induction ceremonies will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Crystal Grand Banquets in Lemont.
