ALGONQUIN – A new restaurant featuring made-from-scratch foods is coming to Algonquin Commons.
Bulldog Ale House is set to open its doors Oct. 6 at 1520 S. Randall Road. The space was formerly Niko's Lodge, Algonquin Community Development Director Russell Farnum said.
Owner Matt Ahmeti said the restaurant will feature more than 52 different beers, including Crystal Lake Brewing on tap.
“We are really unique when it comes to beer and want to serve you beer you couldn’t find anywhere else,” Ahmeti said.
Popular food items include burgers, pizza, wings and sandwiches, with burgers featuring toppings such as goat cheese, pulled pork, Sriracha hot sauce and more.
“We sell so many burgers it is unbelievable,” Ahmeti said. “The white truffle pizza is also phenomenal, and every time I go with my wife and kids, that is what we eat. The kitchen makes everything from scratch and gets very involved in food preparation.”
The 8,000-square-foot restaurant will seat more than 200 people and employ 73 people, Ahmeti said.
The restaurant will be open from
11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Bulldog Ale House also has restaurants in McHenry, New Lenox, Rolling Meadows and Carol Stream, among other locations.
