Marilyn A. Henry

HARMON – Marilyn A. Henry, 86, of Harmon, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Marilyn was born on Aug. 11, 1931, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Henry and Viola (Keating) Quinn. She married Patrick Henry on Aug. 9, 1951, in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Marilyn worked for the American Red Cross as a registered nurse during her lifetime. She was a member of St. Flannen Catholic Church in Harmon. She was also an active member of St. Anne’s Society at the church and enjoyed her time with her monthly bridge club friends. Marilyn will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening, her intense commitment to family, and her great devotion to the Blessed Virgin.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; her three daughters, Judi (Mark) Fenoglio of Chatham, Tricia (Brad) Scott of Redlands, California, and Kathleen (Dan) Quinn of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; her two sons, Michael (Rebecca) Henry of Harmon and Douglas (Sherry) Henry of Rock Falls; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, with the Rosary recited at 6:45 p.m. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Flannen Catholic Church in Harmon with the Rev. Timothy Draper, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Harmon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the American Red Cross and St. Flannen Catholic Church in her memory.
