June Wolf O’Dell

STERLING – June Wolf O’Dell, 82, of Sterling, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Regency Care of Sterling.

June was born June 26, 1935, in Sterling, the daughter of Alva and Lucille (Lockett) Wise Sr. She married Marvin Wolf in October 1952. He preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1982. She later married Robert O’Dell on June 26, 1998. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2016. June was one of the first women inducted into Sterling Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheila (Mike) Wolber of Rock Falls and Barb (Steve) Wolf-Cotes of Sterling; three sons, Terry (Linda) Wolf and Kenny (Wanda) Wolf, both of Rock Falls, and Bob Wolf of Sterling; one brother, Alva Wise Jr.; 14 grandchildren, Lance Wolf, Lonnie (Traci) Wolf, Eric (Katie) Wolf, Joe Rivera, Tiffany Rivera, Michelle Wolber, and Matthew Wolf, all of Rock Falls, Mitchell Wolf and Maggie (Kyle Flynn), both of Sterling, Dustin (Mary) Rivera of Godfrey, Shannon (Toby) Bennett of Rockford, Kenny (Anja) Wolf and Larry (Erin) Wolf, both of Dixon, and David (Jessie) Wolber of Griswold, Connecticut; and several great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Beverly Smith, Dorothy Starnes, and JoAnne Parker; and one sister-in-law, Norma Wise.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, and the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling, with the Rev. Christina Berry officiating.

A memorial has been established.
