DIXON – Beverly Ann Modrow, 88, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at Franklin Grove Living & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Nov. 21, 1929, in Oak Park, the daughter of Herman and Myrtle (Brown) Havemann. She married Kermit “Chuck” Modrow on Sept. 2, 1950, in Maywood. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2014. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Janet) Modrow of Elmhurst and John (Brenda) Modrow of Tampa, Florida; four daughters, Kimberly (Richard) Horstmann of Yorkville, Denise (Tom) Devitt of St. Charles, Nanette (Gary) Wojdyla of Wheaton, and Tamara (Raymond) Liberatore of Channahon; one brother, Nolan (Kathy) Havemann; two sisters-in-law, Lori
Havemann and Anita Havemann; one son-in-law, Bret Hemmer; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Hemmer; two brothers, Floyd and Russell Havemann; and one sister and brother-in-law, Violet (Robert) Anderson.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, and the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon, with the Rev. David Schweppe officiating. Private burial will be at Grand Detour Cemetery. Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon.
