Band members from the Yorkville High School Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony participated the NIB XII Honors Band Festival on Feb. 20 at Sycamore High School. Students are nominated for participation by Victor Anderson, YHS music department chair, and Bobby Vriezen, band director, and selected by the NIB XII Band Festival Committee. Students representing the conference schools participated in a freshman/sophomore-level ensemble, as well as a junior/senior-level ensemble. Rehearsals were led by Barry Houser and Stephen Peterson, directors of bands from the University of Illinois. The daylong event culminated in an evening performance.
