Woman injured in Wonder Lake crash

WONDER LAKE – A woman was injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash in Wonder Lake.

The crash occurred about 1:10 p.m. Wednesday at Ridge Road and Route 120. A 76-year-old woman was stopped at a light on Ridge Road when she experienced a medical emergency, McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy Sandra Rogers said.

She lost control of her 2016 Volkswagen during the incident, drove off the road and hit a tree, Rogers said.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Centegra Hospital – McHenry, Rogers said.

No citations were issued, and no other vehicles were involved.
