Isabelle Wright receives award

MANLIUS — Bureau Valley High School in Manlius has announced Isabelle Wright as the recipient of the Jostens Renaissance National Student of the Month Award for March 2018.

The Jostens Renaissance National Student of the Month recognition is for a deserving student who has made an impact within their school or community through Jostens Renaissance.

Jostens Renaissance is a program that focuses on recognizing students and staff. The core of the program revolves around the five R’s: what you Respect, Reward, Recognize and Reinforce = Results.

Wright was selected based on her exceptional dedication and commitment to the values of Bureau Valley and Jostens Renaissance. As teacher and Jostens Renaissance Educator of the Year, Tori Boyle stated in her nomination letter, “...Even though I had seen a growth and change in Isabelle from first semester to second semester, I truly saw a change in her happen while at the Renaissance National Conference. She went from a quiet freshman girl to one who presented two breakout sessions in front of full rooms, she was videotaped, she talked to everyone, she danced on chairs, made friends from across the United States, and took in so much information to bring back to Bureau Valley High School ... she became a Renaissance Rock Star!”

Wright will be showcased on the Jostens Renaissance website, https://www.jostensrenaissance.com/isabellewright/ and receive several items of recognition.
