Frances T. Schulte

DIXON – Frances T. Schulte, 91, of Dixon, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Heritage Square in Dixon.

Frances was born Sept. 21, 1926, in South Dixon Township in Lee County, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Janssen) Siefkin. She married Elmer Schulte on May 15, 1946, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1989. Frances became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon in 1948. She enjoyed wintering in Florida, and shopping, but most of all, loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Esther Hartz of Mount Dora, Florida, and Elaine (Dennis) Winebrenner of Sterling; two sons, Edwin Schulte and Earl (Sandy) Schulte, both of Dixon; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, August (Marilyn) Schulte of Dixon and John Schulte of Darlington, Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law, Eva Cowley of Dixon and Bernice Von Holten of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

Frances also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John Siefkin, David Siefkin, and infant brother, Frank Siefkin; four sisters, Betty McGlumphy, Frieda Lewis, Helen Maloney, and Anna Williams; one son-in-law, Ronald Hartz; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Schulte; two grandsons; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, and the funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Leo Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

A memorial has been established to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon.
