Police find heroin, drug paraphernalia in Woodstock home

Pair in possession of heroin, paraphernalia, police say

A man and woman face felony heroin charges in connection with a Woodstock police drug investigation.

When officers searched the home of 35-year-old Marcus J. Moore and 20-year-old Sarah Kalbach, in the 1200 block of Mitchell Street, Woodstock, on Saturday, they found an unidentified amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to a news release.

The pair was arrested and taken to the McHenry County Jail.

Kalbach is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Moore faces more serious charges, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a church, possession of heroin with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance. His most serious charge typically is punishable by six to 30 years in prison.

Moore's and Kalbach's bonds are set at $150,000 and $25,000, respectively. They must post 10 percent each to be released from jail.

Kalbach is due in court Wednesday, and Moore is scheduled for an appearance Thursday.
