Mary ‘Becky’ Peterson

PRINCETON — Mary “Becky” Black Peterson, 74, of Princeton passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, in Lacon.

She was born Oct. 25, 1943, in Princeton to Forrest and Rose (Kelly) Black.

Becky graduated from Princeton High School in 1961 and attended Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1965.

She married Richard “Snuff” Peterson July 27, 1968, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton.

Becky is survived by numerous cousins and numerous dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her husband and three children in infancy.

Funeral services for Becky will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton with Father Jeffery Stirniman officiating and Mass assisted by Father Daniel Gifford. A graveside service will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
