Flower from Lincoln’s funeral to be on display

The collection of flowers lain on the funeral bier of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865 that were discovered at the Will County Historical Museum and Research Center will be put on display June 15.

Those interested can view the flowers at the museum’s annex building with a model of Lincoln’s tomb, a 19th century buggy and German bank along with music from local band Living Proof and snacks.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children from 5 to 15 years old and children younger than 5 can enter free.

The viewing and musical extravaganza will be from 5 to 8 p.m. June 15 at the Historical Museum located at 803 S. State St. in Lockport.
