Marilyn A. Coffey

DIXON – Marilyn A. Coffey, 80, of Dixon, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Dixon Health Care Center.

She was born March 2, 1938, in Dixon, the daughter of Francis Eugene and Helen Louise (Whitebread) Coffey. Marilyn had worked for the Illinois Tollway Authority for 20 years before her retirement in 1999.

Marilyn is survived by her brothers, Neil (Kay Sholders) Coffey of Goleta, California, Paul Coffey of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Terry (Esta) Coffey of Dixon; sister, Kathy Coffey of Chalmette, Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Maves; brothers, Edward, Jim, Joe, Dick, Tim and Dan; and sister, Patty Friel.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial of cremains will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Jones Funeral Home in Dixon is handling arrangements.

A memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice and Home.
