Burglary arrest

Yorkville police arrested Kyle L. Bauer, 25, of the 200 block of East Somonauk Street, Yorkville, at 10:45 p.m. June 8 on charges of residential burglary. Police said officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of East Main Street at that date and time after the homeowner discovered someone in their residence. Yorkville police responded along with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the Kendall County Criminal Intelligence Team, police said.

Driver cited in crash

Yorkville police cited John K. Clausel, 51, of the 600 block of Congress Street, Ottawa, with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give aid or information and failure to report an accident to a police authority following a crash in the parking lot of a business in the 1900 block of South Bridge Street at 6:38 p.m. on June 7.

Juveniles arrested
on theft charges

Yorkville police arrested two juveniles at 1:50 p.m. June 9 on charges of retail theft after police said they stole $393 worth of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Erica Lane.

Robbery and battery

Yorkville police were called to the 1200 block of Marketplace Drive at 2 p.m. June 7 for a report of a battery. Police said officers discovered that the victim had been battered and that money had been taken from them. No arrests were listed.

Pregnant woman
injured in crash

Yorkville police cited Susan Beckstrom, 65, of the 400 block of Chestnut Street, Compton, Illinois, with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following a crash at 3:36 p.m. on June 6 at Route 34 and Diehl Farm Road. Police said Beckstrom’s vehicle rear-ended another vehicle, and a passenger of the struck vehicle, a 32-year-old Yorkville woman, was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora as she was eight months pregnant.
