Saratoga hires new assistant principal

Ashley Ringler previously worked at Aurora East

MORRIS — Saratoga School District 60C held a special board meeting Monday night and hired Ashley Ringler as the school's assistant principal for the 2018-19 school year.

Ringler previously had worked in at Aurora East High School since 2013 as the reading facilitator, and was a reading specialist in the Oswego school district from 2010-2013. She began her career in Dixon as a second-grade teacher from 2005 to 2010.

"I think Ashley will be a great addition to our staff and administration," Saratoga Superintendent Kathy Perry said. "She has a very positive attitude and has a lot of energy."

In addition to hiring Ringler, the board also approved the lease of another 77-passenger school bus and approved a $5,000 stipend for a substitute teacher caller.

The next scheduled board meeting for Saratoga is at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20. At that meeting, the board is expected to review and approve the language for a referendum question for construction of kitchen, cafetorium, state, learning resource center, and renovation for science labs and STEM areas.
