Minooka school district announces new director of community relations

At its Aug. 16 meeting, the Minooka Community High School District 111 Board of Education named Brent Edwards as the district’s new director of community relations.

Edwards brings a background of more than 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations, sales and community relations to the district. Edwards previously served as a marketing and public relations director in the tourism industry, where he was instrumental in developing award-winning advertising and website designs, collateral and brochure design, video production and social media campaigns.

Edwards’ responsibilities will include media relations and media releases, website management and content creation, social media, SchoolMessenger and special event planning to name a few.
