LAMOILLE — Debra Eileen Shaw, 62, of LaMoille passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at the Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Debbie was born Aug. 16, 1956, in Mendota to Sherman and Donna (Morris) Shaw.
She attended St. Mary’s School in LaSalle and Gateway Services in Princeton. In 1989, she moved to Casa Willis in Sterling and worked at Self Help Enterprises.
Debbie was a member of the Community United Methodist Church of LaMoille and confirmed on March 31, 1979. She had a joy-filled spirit that included a love of people, her family and activities with her Casa Willis housemates.
Debbie is survived by her parents of LaMoille; two brothers, Sherman (Sandy) Shaw of St. Louis and Curtis (Ginny) Shaw of LaMoille; two nephews and one niece, Jordan Shaw of LaMoille, Daniel (fiancé Colleen Tabaka) Shaw of St. Louis and Ashton (Clayton) Kasperski of Hennepin; several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sherman and Eva Shaw, and Earl and Alta Morris.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Community United Methodist Church in LaMoille with the Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in LaMoille.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, and one-half hour prior to the funeral on Saturday in the church.
