MINONK — Adam C. Anson, 34, of Minonk passed away at 3:48 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at the Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
He was born Feb. 10, 1984, in Princeton, a son of David and Vicki (Hansen) Anson. He married Allison Martyn on May 27, 2006, in Oglesby. She survives.
Adam worked at Grasser’s in McNabb for the last 14 years. He was a wonderful coach and Dad.
Survivors include his wife, Allison Anson of Minonk; two sons, Lucas and Noah Anson at home; his mother, Vicki (Dave) Stuart of LaSalle; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Fran Anson of Princeton; two nieces, Gwen and Eva; one nephew, Thomas; and a sister-in-law, Kate (Keith) Hobson of San Diego, Calif.
Adam was preceded in death by his father, David Anson; a brother, Matt Anson; and his maternal grandparents, Russ and Gloria Hansen.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk with Pastor Colleen Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded and burial of remains will be at a later date in the Minonk Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Adam Anson Memorial Fund at Heartland Bank in Oglesby for a trust to be set up for his children, Lucas and Noah.
